The i-Discuss facility is useful for undertaking online group discussion over a period of time. Discussion groups are moderated on a day-to-day basis over several days or even weeks. In this way the discussion content is added gradually as group participants frequently log-in to respond to messages posted by the Moderator or each other. Group members may be asked to log-in as little as once a day and as much as several times a day depending on the research outcome needed.
i-Discuss has a range of flexible set-up options to satisfy your specific research needs. For example, board 'styles' can be chosen from simple 'ramble style' boards which extend little control over a respondent's activity, through to 'sequential message display' boards where respondents are required to respond to a message before they are shown other participant responses or they must first respond before they can view subsequent discussion topics posted by the Moderator. In addition, a simple survey can be deployed to capture demographic information from group participants if the Moderator requires it, whereby this info can be viewed at any time.

One-click participant activity reports, as well as colour-coding of user profiles, content .and layout all assist the Moderator to identify the general responsiveness of the group as well as the activity level for any single participant. Email notification can be easily sent to those participants who require reminders or prompting if the Moderator chooses.
As with all our systems, no downloads are required, just a standard web-browser will suffice. In addition, your discussion groups can also incorporate image, video streaming and audio presentations. i-Discuss groups are available in any language format, withmultiple discussions also managed easily by the researcher at the one time. Finally, transcripts can also be downloaded in Word or Excel format at any time during or on conclusion of the research project.
